LIVING AREAS

The apartment has an open concept layout that connects the living room, dining room, kitchen, and balcony. There is cable tv in the living room and Wifi throughout the apartment.

The kitchen has granite countertops and a center isle so that whoever is cooking is always part of the group. The dining table comfortably sits 4 people and overlooks the balcony, which has a gas BBQ and exterior social seating. From here you can enjoy the trade winds and Caribbean sun while you relax with friends and family. 

BEDROOMS

The master bedroom has 1 king bed with flat screen TV, and a spacious private bathroom. It also has french doors that open to the balcony.

The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms have one queen sized bed each, and they share a full bathroom.  All bedrooms are appointed with top notch furnishing and resort quality linens.  Complimentary bathroom amenities are provided with each stay.

KITCHEN

Villa Catalina has a beautiful and spacious kitchen with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, a center isle with electric stovetop and oven, and all the cooking accessories you need for an extended stay. You’ll love how the cook is always part of the group. There is also a convenient window to the terrace you can use to send appetizers and drinks out to the balcony.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD

Villa Catalina is located within the largest resort community in Puerto Rico, Palmas del Mar. Palmas del Mar offers a wonderful mile-long beach, multiple dining options, marina, tennis, and golf – among other offerings. The resort has miles and miles of running and cycling trails. There is also a community pool that’s just a 1-minute walk from the apartment.

The list of activities to do in Palmas is virtually endless, but here are some of our favorites:

1. Golf at one of Palmas del Mar’s two 18-hole Golf Courses. Tee times can be booked over the phone.
2. Tennis at the Palmas del Mar Athletic Club with 20 courts that include artificial grass, Har-Tru Clay, and hard courts.
3. Lunch or dinner at “La Pescaderia,” an oceanfront restaurant by the marina with some of the best seafood on the island.
4. Explore the El Yunque Rainforest. El Yunque is an easy 40-minute drive from the property and is the only rainforest under US Flagship.
5. Chill at the beach! It’s just a 5-10 minute golf cart ride away, it’s a mile-long, and has a great beach front grill!

ACCESS TO THE BEACH CLUB @ PALMAS DEL MAR 

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Beach Club is ONLY AVAILABLE Tuesday through Friday, excluding Holidays. The Beach Club exclusively reserves the right of admission.

Now you can experience Palmas del Mar exclusive Beach Club facility in Humacao, PR by purchasing a day pass. The Beach Club at Palmas del Mar includes a large adult swimming pool, 16-foot water slides with over 200 feet of aquatic activities for the kids to enjoy and many more! The Beach Club is equipped with a bungalow-style pavilion with breathtaking views of the Caribbean. There is a 1,100 square foot waterworks play system, as well as a wading pool with its own slides, spray jets, water valves, and a giant spill bucket.

It is important to note there is limited space available, the passes are subject to availability. If the Beach Club has reached its overhead capacity it is possible it might affect the chances of purchasing a day pass.

GETTING AROUND

We highly recommend renting a golf cart while staying at Villa Catalina. Our staff is available to help coordinate golf cart rentals.

AMENITIES

West Indies strives to Deliver top notch service and amenities to guarantee our guests feel at home while visiting our properties. All of our properties are outfitted with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach/pool towel per guest. If you are staying for more than 3 nights and the property does not have a washer and dryer we can coordinate a complimentary towel changeover, subject to availability. Our properties typically include at least 2 beach chairs, and an ice cooler.

West Indies provides the disposable amenities necessary to get your vacation off to a comfortable start. These amenities include 1 set of hotel size soaps and shampoos per bathroom, 3 garbage bags, 2 rolls of paper towel, 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, 1 dish soap, 1 dish sponge, and a small amount of laundry detergent. We do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is your responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock with whatever else may be needed for the duration of your stay.

INTERACTION WITH GUESTS

The West Indies Vacation Rental staff is eager to ensure everything about your vacation is 5-stars. Once you reserve, our Vacation Planning Team will send you detailed property information, suggestions on where to eat and what to do, as well as the contact information of the Destination Manager that will be available to assist you during your stay. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you want additional suggestions and expert opinions on what to do during your vacation. We want to make your experience the best it can be!

HOUSEKEEPING

The advertised cleaning fee covers cleaning before check-in and after check-out.  Daily housekeeping can be requested at an additional cost of $99.00 per night. Daily housekeeping must be requested immediately after booking and it is subject to availability. 

HOUSE RULES

• Check-in time is at 4:00pm
• Check-out time is at 11:00am
• Smoking is strictly prohibited. A smoking fee of $500 will be charged if violated. 
• All bookings are contingent on signing a short term rental agreement that will be sent via email. It must be signed within 48 hours of booking or before entering the property, whichever happens first.
• Maximum occupancy of 6 adults/children
• Under no circumstances may more than 6 guests stay at the property.
• Max. occupancy is strictly enforced and exceeding it may result in immediate cancellation of booking or being expelled from the property.
• Quiet hours from 10:00pm to 8:00am. Parties and excessive noise are not allowed during these hours. Failure to abide by this rule can result in immediate cancellation of booking and being expelled from the property.
• Do not hang towels or clothes from balcony or windows.
• Do not wash white towels with colored beach towels. Any damaged towels will be charged from the security deposit.
• Towels and linens must only be used for their intended purpose. Do not stain them with food, grease or any other substance. Do not use towels to clean up any mess, stained towels/linens will be charged from damage deposit
• Subletting not allowed
• Host will not pay for hotel, vacation rental, or transportation expenses incurred because of an interruption in water or electrical service.  If water or electricity is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests have the option of cancelling their reservation and requesting a refund for the nights not used. Under no circumstances will we refund consumed nights.
