Villa Tropicana is located inside the Wyndham Río Mar Grand Resort in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. The 3 bedroom villa has striking views of El Yunque National Rainforest, communal family friendly pool, and is a short drive to the beach, golf, tennis, and local restaurants. Villa Tropicana includes a 4 person golf cart to easily explore the resort grounds. The Wyndham hotel, within the resort, has various restaurants, a spa, and casino that Villa Tropicana guests can enjoy. Villa Tropicana is within striking distance of some of the best beaches, rainforests, and tours the island has on offer.
COVID REQUIREMENTS AND CONSIDERATIONS:
1) COVID-19 TESTING AND VACCINATION: State government law requires us to have all guests submit via email proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or a negative PCR molecular COVID-19 test result 72 hours before check-in.
2) POOL & COMMON AREAS: Many common areas in communities around the island are limiting capacity. This includes pools, tennis courts, and children parks and is an evolving phenomenon. Please reach out to us prior to booking if you would like to know the status of common areas.
3) MASKS: Masks are required in many common areas and establishments. Please travel with a hefty supply of masks.
4) CLEANING PROCEDURES: We have updated our cleaning procedures to include industry best practices in response to COVID-19. We are using disinfectant cleaning products on all surfaces and are programming a 24 hour gap between check-outs and check-ins. Our cleaning staff wears PPE during the entire cleaning and disinfecting process.
Enter Villa Tropicana and you are greeted by the living room with ample seating for the group and direct access to the balcony with stunning views of the El Yunque National Rainforest. The villa has ceiling fans throughout and central AC so you can decide whether you prefer the Caribbean breeze or a cooler air conditioned atmosphere. The balcony has a hammock, ideal for a relaxing nap after a long day at the beach. The dining room has seating for six and is conveniently located between the kitchen and balcony.
The master bedroom has one queen bed, a spacious bathroom with double sink, and a large walk-in closet. There is a seating area where you can read a book or enjoy a cup of coffee. The master bedroom also has direct access to the balcony. The 2nd bedroom has two twin beds and the 3rd bedroom also has two twin beds. All rooms have a dedicated full bathroom.
Villa Tropicana has a very large and comfortable open kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge, freezer, microwave, stovetop, oven, coffee maker, and toaster. The dining table, which seats six, is conveniently located adjacent to the kitchen so cooking and dining can become one large social event. There is also access to the balcony from the dining area which you can open to allow the breeze in while cooking up or enjoying a delicious meal.

We strongly recommend renting a full size car as there are a multitude of activities within a 30-minute drive which you will not want to miss out on.

All of our properties are outfitted with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach/pool towel per guest. Our properties typically include at least 2 beach chairs, and an ice cooler.
West Indies provides the disposable amenities necessary to get your vacation off to a comfortable start. These amenities include 1 set of hotel size soaps and shampoos per bathroom, 3 garbage bags, 2 rolls of paper towel, 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, 1 dish soap, 1 dish sponge, and a small amount of laundry detergent. We do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is your responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock with whatever else may be needed for the duration of your stay.
